LFT with GGT+KFT with eGFR
KFT (Kidney Function Test) — measures urea, creatinine, eGFR and electrolytes to assess kidney health.
About this test
Kidney Function Test (KFT or RFT) measures blood urea, serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate), uric acid and electrolytes (sodium, potassium, chloride, calcium, phosphorus). It is essential for diagnosing and monitoring chronic kidney disease, hypertension and diabetes complications, and is required before starting many medications and contrast-imaging studies. The test uses a venous blood sample; fasting is not strictly required but morning samples are preferred.
