ECHO CARDIOGRAPHY

ECHO CARDIOGRAPHY

ECHO CARDIOGRAPHY in Noida

Echocardiography (2D Echo / Color Doppler) at Classic Diagnostics — ultrasound imaging of the heart and major vessels, reported by qualified cardiologists across Delhi and Noida.

What is an Echo (2D Echo)?

A 2D Echo is a non-invasive ultrasound scan of the heart that shows the heart chambers, valves, walls, and blood vessels in real time. Combined with Color Doppler, it measures blood flow and identifies leaks, blockages, or pressure abnormalities. There is no radiation and no injection.

When is an Echo recommended?

Chest pain · breathlessness or palpitations · abnormal ECG · heart murmur · suspected heart failure · valvular heart disease · prior heart attack follow-up · congenital heart disease · before non-cardiac surgery in high-risk patients · monitoring chemotherapy patients on cardiotoxic drugs.

What to expect during the scan

You lie on your left side; the cardiologist applies gel and uses a hand-held probe across the chest. The study takes 20–30 minutes. Reports include measurements of ejection fraction, valve gradients, chamber sizes, and any structural abnormalities — interpreted by a cardiologist.

Frequently Asked Questions about ECHO CARDIOGRAPHY

Is an Echo the same as an ECG?
No. An ECG records electrical activity of the heart (in 10–30 seconds). An Echo is an ultrasound that shows how the heart looks and moves. Both are often done together for a complete assessment.
Do I need to fast for an Echo?
No fasting is required for a routine 2D Echo or Color Doppler.
How long does an Echo take?
20–30 minutes including report generation.
Is the Echo report signed by a cardiologist?
Yes — all echo studies at Classic Diagnostics are reported by qualified cardiologists.
