Important information & instructions
- Need open chest and upper part of abdomen so avoid vest, t shirts. Use cloth that can be open from midline eg shirts etc.
- Need a quiet child so sometimes, oral sedation in the form of syrup (pedicloryl/triclfos sodium) needs to be given. It is form of mild sedation.
- Child may sleep in 30-45 minutes and occasionally second dose has to be given.
- Please do not feed the baby till child is fully awake.
- Generally child sleeps for two hours after the medicine.
- It is better if child did not sleep for 4-5 hours before the test.
- This medicine is generally safe. 8 If child dosen't sleep , may have to be called again on another day.
