ECG / HOLTER in Delhi
ECG and 24-hour Holter monitoring at Classic Diagnostics — quick, non-invasive recordings of the heart's electrical activity, reported by cardiologists.
What is an ECG?
An Electrocardiogram (ECG) records the electrical signals of the heart through 12 small electrodes placed on the chest, wrists and ankles. The whole test takes 5–10 minutes and immediately shows abnormalities like arrhythmias, heart attacks, conduction blocks, or left ventricular hypertrophy.
What is a Holter monitor?
A Holter is a small portable ECG device worn for 24–48 hours (or up to 7 days for extended studies) to capture intermittent rhythm problems — palpitations, fainting spells, undetected atrial fibrillation, or syncope — that may not appear on a single ECG. You go about your normal day while the device records continuously.
When are these tests recommended?
ECG — chest pain, palpitations, breathlessness, dizziness, pre-surgical clearance, routine cardiac screening. Holter — unexplained palpitations or fainting, atrial fibrillation screening, evaluation after a stroke, follow-up of arrhythmia treatment.
