HISTOPATHOLOGY in Delhi

Histopathology at Classic Diagnostics — microscopic examination of tissues from biopsies and surgical specimens, reported by senior consultant pathologists.

What is Histopathology?

Histopathology is the microscopic examination of tissue samples (biopsies, resections, excisions) to diagnose diseases, especially cancers. Tissues are processed, embedded in paraffin, sectioned, stained, and reviewed by a pathologist. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) is added for tumour subtyping, hormone receptors, and prognostic markers.

Specimens accepted

Biopsies from any organ — skin, breast, prostate, liver, kidney, lung, gastrointestinal, gynaecological, bone, soft tissue · Surgical resection specimens · Frozen-section consultation · Special stains & IHC (ER, PR, HER2, Ki-67, p63, CD markers etc.) on request.

Reporting time

Routine biopsies — 3–5 working days. Specimens needing IHC, decalcification (bone) or special workup — 5–10 working days. Urgent reports can be arranged in select cases.
