What is an MRI scan?
MRI uses powerful magnets and radio waves (no radiation) to create detailed cross-sectional images of soft tissues, organs, the brain, spine, joints, and blood vessels. It is the diagnostic gold standard for neurological conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, cancers, and many abdominal and pelvic disorders. An MRI scan typically takes 20–45 minutes depending on the body part being imaged.

Preparation, safety & reporting
No fasting is required for most MRI scans (some abdominal/pelvic scans may need 4-hour fasting). You must inform our team about any metal implants, pacemakers, cochlear implants, or claustrophobia before booking. Reports are reviewed by qualified radiologists, typically delivered within 24 hours; emergency / urgent reads are available on request.
