SLEEP STUDY in Delhi
Polysomnography (Sleep Study) at Classic Diagnostics — overnight monitoring to diagnose sleep apnoea, snoring, insomnia and other sleep disorders.
What is a sleep study?
A sleep study (Polysomnography) records your brain activity, heart rate, breathing, blood oxygen, eye movements and limb movements throughout the night to diagnose sleep disorders. It is the gold-standard test for Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) and is also used for narcolepsy, parasomnia and unexplained daytime sleepiness.
When is a sleep study recommended?
Loud snoring or witnessed breathing pauses during sleep · excessive daytime sleepiness · morning headaches · poorly controlled blood pressure or diabetes · unrefreshing sleep · choking/gasping at night · restless leg syndrome · evaluation of CPAP therapy.
What to expect
You arrive at the sleep lab in the evening; sensors are gently attached, and you sleep in a private room. Recording is automatic — you can move and use the bathroom as needed. The study lasts 6–8 hours. Reports are interpreted by a sleep specialist and shared within 48–72 hours. Home sleep tests are available for selected indications.
