TMT in Delhi
Treadmill Stress Test (TMT) at Classic Diagnostics — exercise ECG to evaluate cardiac fitness and detect blockages, supervised by qualified cardiologists.
What is a TMT (Treadmill Test)?
A Treadmill Test records your ECG and blood pressure while you walk on a treadmill at progressively increasing speed and incline. It is used to detect coronary artery disease, assess exercise tolerance, and risk-stratify chest pain. The test takes 30–45 minutes including setup and recovery.
When is a TMT recommended?
Chest pain on exertion · suspected coronary artery disease · pre-surgical cardiac clearance · after a heart attack to plan rehabilitation · arrhythmia evaluation · screening for high-risk professionals (pilots, athletes) · diabetes / hypertension follow-up.
Preparation & safety
Avoid heavy meals, coffee and smoking for 3 hours before the test. Wear loose clothes and walking shoes. Bring any cardiac medications. The test is closely supervised by a cardiologist — stopped immediately if symptoms or ECG changes appear. Recent heart attack, unstable angina, or severe valvular disease are contraindications.
